Behaviour Boy

Remember *this* post from 2009?

"
Good Naked, Bad Naked, and this one is really big.

We are certainly not in Kansas anymore in this household. Had to go into school today to approve a new program Boo is starting on Health and Hygiene which includes knowing which parts are supposed to stay inside the pants and when it is okay for hands to follow them down there - and other stories.
There is a brilliant work book that the school have researched which had sections for me to fill in on what we call things (we decided on Penis and Wiener) and what rooms it is okay to be naked in (Bathroom, Change room and Bedroom) and where and when it is okay to touch things.

.........The other discussion I had with my big Sis was how to explain where modesty is appropriate, without creating a lot of unnecessary guilt or shame......

"Sis just said to tell him his "Big Penis" Belongs in the Bedroom. End of Story"

Um No, that was not the end of the story. This was cute little Liam in 2009:

 This is Liam Now:

(Catching the Luas into Town for Charity Shops and Sushi)

And things still haven't settled down. Or come to a *head*

As a result, his unrealised *needs* are translating into aggression, anxiety and being very controlling. It is making home life pretty dreadful. Our behaviour has been shaped by Liam to the point where we tip-toe around him, trying to make sure he does not get anxious and aggressive. When we don't get it just right, he explodes and he is just too big to contain. It has been going on for months, but really intensified during the long holidays. We are trying a lot of extra exercise, visual schedules and good old fashioned drinking too much wine when the sun goes down. (or slightly before sometimes)

It makes life a bit demanding. But on the bright side, Miss Gracie is in flying form and a great comfort to me. Cuddly little butter ball that she is:

Gracie had a great summer and is getting on well with her new tutor. The team at Saplings have her practicing a lot of important self-care stuff, and she is back working on her speech program too. :)

So forgive me but being an active CEO of a world wide corporation and doing up to date blog posts have all gone by the wayside.

At the moment I just have to try and be a Mum. Send extra love. xx

Lots of extra love to you from the Jazzy house. Puberty is bad enough but must be extra tough for Liam and therefore the rest of you. Both your kids look FAB though :-)
